It’s the season when we are reminded to give thanks. Why does it appear that gratitude is traditionally emphasized only for a season? I’ve made it a daily practice to be thankful. Hey, if you wake up in the morning and you’re alive, that’s a big one!
I was raised to give thanks, but the more loved ones I lose (both two and four-legged) the older I get, the more I value each day. My home décor has reminders of faith and gratitude strategically placed throughout the house. Inspirational quotes such as “Blessings…count them one by one”, “Begin each day with a Grateful Heart”, and one of my favorites, “Accept what is, let go of what was, and have faith in what will be.”
During this season of gratitude, I want you to know that I appreciate you. Thank you for being in my life. You are wholeheartedly one of the blessings that I count. Having you in my life reading my words, supporting my ambitions, and standing by me and my family is something that I never take for granted.
May you and your loved ones enjoy a blissful, memory-making Thanksgiving holiday!
